Two of the great challenges of our times are (1) the further development of affordable, efficient, and equitable medical care and (2) the development of better concepts for disease prevention. Combining innovative data science approaches coupled with advanced healthcare technologies such as imaging, sensing, and omics offers an outstanding opportunity to meet these challenges.
